                                                                   “Belarusian-Chinese relations: current state and prospects for development”

 The Department of Comprehensive Chinese Studies holds an international roundtable on the topic “Belarusian-Chinese relations: current state and prospects for development” with the participation of representatives of the academic community, leading specialists and experts from Belarus and other countries on March 30, 2023.

Over 30 years of cooperation, the Republic of Belarus and the People's Republic of China have achieved positive results in various fields. The countries have established relations of all-weather and comprehensive strategic partnership. In a rapidly changing international environment, Belarus and China demonstrate mutual firm and unwavering support, full understanding and actively cooperate at international platforms.

The main goal of the round table is to study and analyse cooperation between Belarus and China in the political, economic and humanitarian fields on a bilateral and multilateral basis in the current difficult situation in the world.

 We invite to participate teachers, researchers and experts in international studies, practitioners.

 The following questions are proposed for discussion at the round table:

China in the foreign policy of the Republic of Belarus;

Peculiarities of Belarusian-Chinese political cooperation: current state and prospects for development;

Strategic partnership between Belarus and China under sanctions pressure;

Interaction between Belarus and China in international multilateral institutions: current  state and future prospects;

Influence of external factors on relations between Belarus and China;

Belarusian-Chinese trade and economic relations: development, current trends, future prospects;

Belarusian-Chinese investment cooperation: current state and future prospects;

Belarusian-Chinese scientific and scientific-technical cooperation;

Cultural and humanitarian cooperation between Belarus and China: current trends and prospects;

Cooperation between Belarus and China in the field of healthcare;

Cooperation between Belarus and China within the framework of the One Belt, One Road initiative in a current difficult geopolitical situation.

 The roundtable will address: Minsk, st. Leningradskaya 20, room 1118 (Faculty of International Relations, Belarusian State University).
